Peace was once again made possible between God and man through the sacrifice of the Son. “…upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 The father no longer takes into account the sins of those who are in Christ Jesus. ” There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1

We now enjoy the benefit of the peace between God the Father and God the Son no matter the circumstances we face. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27

Peace was never offered to the world, it was and is given to those whom He elected. The peace which this world offers is circumstantial and would never compare to the peace Christ made possible through the cross. To this world was brought a sword that would rightly divide that which is from that which is not. “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. Matthew 10:34
